Sapa is a wonderful place: great scenery and local traditional families that may soon disappear.TrekkingSapa offers a great model of tourism: the chance to see and experience the villages and local life within the safety of a super-well organised trekking tour. Our guide was outstanding – funny, willing to share her life and culture, genuinely good conversation. The trek itself should not be under estimated, as the most beautiful and interesting experiences are on the narrow tracks, walking in slippery mud and on the edge of the rice paddies – 5-6 hours even for short distance. We had two nights / three days of wonder. Take extra clothes as nothing dries there!
