We stopped over for lunch, a mouthwatering 3-course affair which took hardly any time to cook, despite cooking it all on an open fire. We shared our meal with a lovely family in their home. Hung was unstoppable, constantly chatting about the Black Hmong community he is part of, his family, etc. After hiking a little more across the neatly designed terraces and rice paddies, greeting friendly neighbours and family of our guide along the way, we were welcomed on the way by a couple of lovely and very energetic kids, Hung’s sister children. After a little while, we arrived at Hung’s sister home where we were spending the night.
